ASKO Diswashers and Tankless Water Heaters

Environmental responsibility has always been a core principle in the development of ASKO products and ASKO heartily advocates technologies that align with like-minded capabilities. One of these new technologies is the tankless water heater. Like ASKO, tankless water heaters are energy efficient, and they save water and heat water without the use of a storage tank. For more information regarding this energy efficient technology, visit this website: http://www.tanklesswaterheaterguide.com/
We are receiving marketplace inquiries regarding effective dishwasher operation with these products. A potential shortcoming of tankless water heaters is the length of time required to achieve hot water at the source (diswasher). As you probably are already aware, most North American-built diswashers do NOT guarantee wash temperature and require a minimum of 120 degrees (or higher) inlet water temperature to ensure effective wash temperature. Due to maximum time limitations, the selected cycle would start prior to reaching the minimum inlet temperature requirement and never reach their published wash and rinse temperatures required to achieve stated cleaning and drying results.
ASKO diswashers do NOT have this concern because ASKO provides the following:
  • No minimum requirement for an inlet water temperature, therefore no negative impact to cleaning and drying performance due to below standard water temperature.
  • Guaranteed wash temperature to ensure effective cleaning and drying results
  • Built-in inline heating element technology
ASKO diswashers and tankless water heaters when used concurrently would help preserve the environment and conserve energy, resulting in more green living and a greener, better planet for us all.

Viking on “Good Morning America”- The Recap

Last week, “Good Morning America” raised awareness for food banks with celebrity chef cooking segments. Each chef was given a mystery bag of groceries and one hour to complete a meal. Visiting chefs on “Good Morning America” last week included Mario Batali, Emeril Lagasse, Cat Cora and Wolfgang Puck. Viking provided a 30”W. electric cooktop, 30”W. double ovens, and a French door bottom-mount refrigerator/freezer for the new kitchen. If you missed the cooking segments, you can visit the “Good Morning America” Web site at http://abcnews.go.com/gma to find the videos segment and chefs’ recipes.
The set that was built for last week’s cooking segments was originally going to be a temporary kitchen set. However, “Good Morning America” was so happy with the set and the Viking products that they have decided to keep the kitchen. Keep tuning in to “Good Morning America” to watch for cooking segments filmed in their new Viking kitchen.

Carmel Apple Cobbler
Submitted by: Danielle Raper with Ferguson (Spring)

Inspiration: I wanted to come up with a really yummy recipe that I could make when the neighbors announce at 4pm that they are having a bbq at 6pm. Because I’m a busy professional I needed a recipe that could use items stored in the pantry—going to the grocery store more then one time a week gives me anxiety!
Ingredients:
Cobbler:
2-cans of Apple Pie Filling
1-yellow cake mix
1-stick of butter
1 -8oz jar of caramel ice cream topping
Topping:
1- cup of chopped Walnuts
1- cup of brown sugar
1-teaspoon of cinnamon
2-tablespoons of butter
Dash of nutmeg
Optional:
Vanilla bean ice cream
Directions:
In a 13×9 pan spread apple pie filling. Top the apples with ½ of the jar of caramel sauce. Mix cake mix with butter. Sprinkle cake mix over apples. Mix topping and sprinkle on top of cake mix. Bake in your Combi Steam oven for 35 minutes on the middle shelf using the Steam heat function. Cover the last 10 minutes of cooking to make sure that the topping does not get too brown. Serve alone or with ice cream drizzled with remaining caramel topping. ENJOY!
